Querciabella has been making Chianti Classico since 1974, and you will not want to miss this vintage. Talk about a phenomenal value winelovers; we say run, don't walk! They've crafted a gorgeous, well-rounded red with structure, full body and mothwateringly ripe fruit. Pour your first glass and maybe go Italian for round one: we love this sip-inspiring Chianti Classico with mixed antipasti like fried eggplant, fresh fava beans with pancetta, roasted peppers and Prosciutto. Be careful; you might not make it to the entree... If you're able to pace yourselves, this Querciabella will pair beautifully with lots of cheeses, red meats and tomato-based sauces. We love it with baked rigatoni with eggplant, peas and ground veal. On the woodsy, earthy side, it is fantastic with papardelle sauced with tomatoes, white wine, carrots and wild duck. An oven-roasted leg of lamb with potatoes will delight as well. As a final note, pour another glorious glass of this stunning ruby red and enjoy it with a subtly nutty, salty Italian Grana Padano cheese.
La vita è breve. Bere Chianti Classico! Antonio Galloni's Vinous: "The 2018 Chianti Classico is classy, polished and exceptionally beautiful. Like so many wines in 2018, the Chianti Classico is aromatic and gracious in feel, more finesse than power. Silky tennis wrap around a core of bright Sangiovese fruit. From start to finish, the 2018 is all class. Drinking window: 2020-2033." Sep 2020
Winery: "Carefully blended from the finest districts of the appellation, Querciabella Chianti Classico redefines Sangiovese with brilliance, clarity and a great depth of flavour."
