The balance in the glass is evident immediately as you experience the honey, fruit and floral notes, and then the anchoring acidity. You own't be able to stop at just one glass, that's for sure. If you need a little sum'n with your aperitif, make it smoked chicken wings. Your choices for entrees are many: fish, poultry, pork, hearty salads and vegetarian dishes alike will work well with this incredible value. We suggest prosciutto-wrapped roast pork stuffed with sage, lemon zest and seasoned bread crumbs. Sauteed halibut finished with a fresh thyme, garlic and butter bath is a simple yet delicious pairing for this demi-sec Vouvray. If it's takeout, we'd order a Thai red curry with shrimp. The mild heat of the dish is ideal opposite the honey flavors in the wine. For your last course, you'll have to decide between sweet and savory. The former: Humboldt Fog cheese. Winery: "Intense yellow with silver reflections, the nose is both floral and fruity. The attack begins on a sweet note, with well balanced sweetness since we return to a “dry” note with fine acidity. As regards the aroma, the olfactive notes are found and the final note is fruity.
Pair with charcuterie, fish with sauce, poultry with cream sauce, roasted or braised white meats, Asian and Indian food, goat's cheese, desserts with almonds, apricot, quince and pear."
