We were hooked after our first sip. It's got understated, well-integrated oak, a delicious array of clean fruit and beautifully precise acidity which makes it perfect for butter or cream sauces. Think chicken with a shallot-crimini mushroom cream sauce, lobster and shrimp risotto or grilled pork chops with an apple-ginger chutney. Oh and did we mention it's a great price? That too. We bought as much as we could, and because it's so good, we can't get more. Just saying...

Winery: "Our 2014 Monterey Chardonnay is one of my favorites from recent years. It exhibits all the characteristics that make Bernardus Chardonnay such a perennial favorite. Complex aromas of green apple and citrus fruits are accented by notes of vanilla and subtle toasty oak. On the palate, the texture is rich and full-bodied, exhibiting intense flavors of ripe apple and tropical fruits along with hints of crème brûlée. The soft, smooth texture is beautifully balanced by a note of crisp acidity which is the hallmark of excellent Chardonnay from Monterey County."
