    The Mas Doix Salanques delivers buckets of flavor and a real party on the palate. If bold fruit, violet notes, and a seductive smokiness aren't enough, it boasts great acidity and lovely tannins too. Savor your first glasses without food so that you're properly introduced to the arena of flavors. The delicious balance of fruit and earthiness in the wine makes it a terrific candidate for like dishes. Grill some rib lamb chops and serve them with pomegranate/pistacio couscous.  Or try a roasted chicken rubbed with garam masala, accompanied by a mildly spicy fig chutney. If you've got lots of time to kill, try your hand at a classic French cassoulet made with white beans, pork, sausage and duck confit. No te decepcionará, winelovers.

    Robert Parker, Jr.'s Wine Advocate:  "The 2013 Salanques is a blend of old-vine Garnacha (65%) and Cariñena (25%) and young-ish Syrah (10%) fermented in stainless steel with neutral yeasts and matured in 50/50 new and second use French oak barrels. This has the complexity, depth and concentration of the top wines from many wineries. It's not particularly powerful, on the contrary, it is built on elegance and balance, with fresh aromas and a refined palate. It has clean, focused and pure aromas and flavors with very good acidity and very fine tannins. This is just great. Drink 2016-2022." Oct 2016
