Chateau Chevalier Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2006

Chateau Chevalier Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2006

  • Orange Cty Wine Comp. Gold Medal & "Best Value"
Winery:  "Bright citrus flavors and a fragrant, floral quality. Fresh herb highlights and tangy acidity gives it charm.  Drink now.  1,500 cases made."

Wired For Wine:  Crafted by high end producer, Spring Mountain Winery, the Chateau Chevalier offers concentrated fruit and bright acidity making it a great partner for many foods.  It is terrific with Asian fish and seafood dishes. We suggest Roy Yamaguchi's Seared Opakapaka with Lobster-Passion Fruit-Ginger Sauce if you haven't tried it. At home, a platter of delicate shrimp shui mai will also delight. Now don't forget: this Sauvignon Blanc is beautiful with roast turkey or chicken. If it's on the menu this month, this Sauvignon Blanc is a great pairing. It is also wonderful with vegetables, so have it with a pasta primavera and enjoy. We'll be starting the festivities with a cold bottle and a dozen Belon oysters if we can find them! Don't like oysters? Not to worry; the this wine is a favorite aperitif on its own.
