"Broad and spicy, with pepper, white chocolate and bay leaf overtones to the rich" ~ Wine Spectator

Only 500 cases were made of this Bergstrom Gregory Ranch Pinot Noir, and we were able to get some! This beautiful Pinot is earthy, spicy and lean, with lovely, lithe tannins, all of which make it dreamy with food. We're certainly not surprised, as it comes from some of our favorite Pinot terroir in the world. Dive into your first glasses and tuck into sweet sausage, onion and pepper sliders. The combination is perfect. Bring out the dark fruits of this Bergstrom with crisp-skinned duck confit legs and a cherry-orange compote. Be sure to grind lots of black pepper over the duck before roasting it in the oven; it will just pair more magically with the wine. For a classic combination, try oven-baked salmon filets with a shallot, parsley, basil and pecan crust. And for the earthy side of this Gregory Ranch, make it steaming bowls of linguine tossed with a wild mushroom sauce. Freshly grated, good quality Parmesan is a must with this dish. Any questions?

Wine Spectator:  "Broad and spicy, with pepper, white chocolate and bay leaf overtones to the rich cherry and raspberry fruit. Glides into a generous and open-textured finish. Drink now through 2024. 500 cases made." Dec 2016

Winery:  "This wine has a very dark red ruby color reminiscent of a black cherry. The aromas are a deep, dark, brooding perfume of black fruits, beef bouillon, spice cupboard, black licorice, savory herb garden, and tobacco leaf. Rich flavors of black cherry and black raspberry coat the mouth. Silky smooth with fine-grained fruit and wood tannins that give this wine not only power, but grace as well. This is a very concentrated young wine that has years of promise ahead of it. Drink 2015-2023+."
